Roo Duo Knocks-Off NCAA No. 2 Doubles Team
WACO, Texas. – The UMKC men's tennis No. 1 doubles pairing picked up a monumental victory on Saturday when Airam Castellano (Gran Canaria, Spain) and Alex Pozo (St. Louis, Mo.) took down No. 11 Baylor's No. 2 ranked doubles team of No. 11 Johannes Schretter and Will Little 6-3 at the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.
Roos Win Second Straight in 62-59 Win at Grand Canyon
PHOENIX, Ariz. – The UMKC women's basketball team (7-13, 3-2 WAC) used an impressive defensive effort and hot-shooting fourth quarter to steal a 62-59 road win over Grand Canyon (9-10, 3-2 WAC).
Pennsylvania: 2018 Legislative Session to Convene

Indiana: Rifle Hunting Bill Passes Senate
On Thursday, January 18th, Senate Bill 20 passed the Indiana state Senate by a vote of 47-2 and will now move to the House.  
Pozo Picks up Singles Win as Roos Fall to OSU
STILLWATER, Okla. – Alex Pozo (St. Louis, Mo.) picked up the lone win for the UMKC men's tennis (0-1) team in the opening match of the season, a rematch of last season's NCAA first round contest, against No. 15 Oklahoma State (3-0) as the senior took down the Cowboys Tristan Meraut 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 in the Greenwood Tennis Center.
