> Headline Readers

You can use several headline viewers to browse news in the comfort of your desktop:
  • [KlipFolio]KlipFolio: KlipFolio is a nice looking, convenient, and easy to use headline reader for Windows. You can also easily get current stock quotes or weather forecasts.
    The klips are an xml format in itself. It requires a RSS to exist. On the channel information pages (like this one, you'll find a RSS Link. Follow this and you will see the Klipfolio icon. Make sure Klipfolio is running on your local computer and click the icon to add the channel to your subscription list.

  • [NewsDesk]NewsDesk: Wildgrape NewsDesk is a fast, convenient, and easy to use RSS headline reader for Windows. NewsDesk reads headlines from thousands of sources, including popular websites and weblogs.
    On the channel information pages (like this one for NewsDesk's own news feed), you'll find a NewsDesk icon. Make sure NewsDesk is running on your local computer and click the icon to add the channel to your subscription list.

  • [Optimal DeskTop]Optimal Desktop is a windows based RSS Reader\Web browser\File Manager. Optimal Desktop's tabbed interface puts hundreds of feeds\web pages\files\folders 3 clicks away and let's you build a custom navigation of your entire information world.
    Optimal Desktop let's you collect headlines from different feeds and publish them as a new feed.  You can also export your URL's as an XML or a tabbed browser file.
    Optimal Desktop network edition let's you manage feeds on users desktops.
    Optimal Desktop Mobile edition let's you launch Optimal Desktop off of removable USB drives and update your feeds on any computer.
    Optimal Desktop has integrated the XML-RPC API.  You can import your NewsIsFree feeds directly into Optimal Desktop through a built in wizard.

  • [Amphetadesk]Amphetadesk: if you use Amphetadesk to browse RSS news feeds, you can easily add NewsIsFree exported news feeds with the click of a button.
    On the channel information pages (like this one for AmphetaDesk's own news feed), you'll find an Amphetadesk icon. Make sure Amphetadesk is running on your local computer and click the icon to add the channel to your subscription list.

  • [Radio Userland]Radio Userland: if you use Radio Userland, you can easily add NewsIsFree exported news feeds with the click of a button.
    On the channel information pages, you'll find a Radio Userland icon. Make sure Radio Userland is running on your local computer and click the icon to add the channel to your subscription list.
